THE LYMAN HOUSE

Designed by Frederic P. Lyman, FAIA, and completed in 1961, the Lyman House was constructed in without the use of nails. The three structures; house, bathhouse, and carport were constructed of exposed Redwood timber, Douglas fir planks, and corrugated asbestos roofing. The structures were demolished in a Malibu brush fire. Photographs by Marvin Rand, Grant Photography, and Carol DiMarinus.
